Join the Worthington Youth wrestling community at the 2024 beginners camp! This month long camp will meet Mondays and Wednesdays through the month of October. Our coaching staff will teach the basics of wrestling at a pace our kindergarteners will understand but still keep the most active 6th graders engaged!
Offseason camps are one of the best ways to learn new skills and keep your abilities fresh through the summer. Camps will be updated as they become available during the summer of 2025.
The only way to get better at wrestling is to practice wrestling! There are many local clubs that offer all ages and skill levels practice time.
Keep an eye out for all of our summer activities off the mat! Parent's night out, team meet ups and possible fundraising activities will be happening all summer!
Everyone has to start somewhere! We welcome all kids in grades K-6 to come enjoy the sport of wrestling. Our beginner camp is a great way to see what this sport is all about without having to commit to an entire season
Can't get enough mat time? Join our Novice and Advanced wrestlers as we compete in the Russ Hellickson League. This developmental league allows kids from around Columbus to compete against other wrestlers of the same age, weight, and similar skill level.
We are proud to announce the addition of a girls wrestling team! Join other Worthington Girls in the fastest growing girls sport in the world. Don't let the boys have all the fun.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes! We will spend time covering the basics of the sport before moving on to more advanced technique. Regardless of when you start, our coaching staff will make sure your wrester has the skills and confidence they need.
We offer practices two weeknights and on Saturday from November through the second week of February to be able to provide your wrestler with the skills they need to compete confidently and safely. We know that families are busy and your time is valuable and understand that not everyone can attend everything. We will remind you that the more mat time you put in, the better equipped you will be.
No. In fact, your wrestler doesn't have to compete at all if they don't want to. Members of our team and coaching staff will attend many different tournaments to provide everyone the opportunity to compete but will never force someone to compete.
All that we require for practice is athletic clothing, generally shorts and a t-shirt. We recommend purchasing wrestling shoes as they allow your wrestler the ability to safely preform on the mat but many kids practice in socks. If you plan to compete in the Russ Helickson League meets, you will be required to have wrestling shoes and headgear.
